CoffeeCup automatically adds the public holidays to the calendar - depending on the region selected for the individual employee. Also, here you can make different types of absences to your employees visible or not. The "Absences" menu is divided into two categories:
Absence types
Holidays
Note: Only the admin can see the "Absences" in the settings.
To get to the absences, click on "Settings" in the menu bar and then on "Absences".
Absence types
This category allows you to create new absence types and assign them an icon and certain criteria. You can also customize existing absence types.
Note: You cannot delete the default absence types "Vacation" and "Illness". They are also not freely configurable.
Each absence type can be assigned the following attributes:
Can be created as a request by an employee
Reduces the vacation budget
Counts as working time
Is visible for other employees
Is remuneration active
Reduces the overtime of an employee
The absence types and their attributes are visible in the working times and in the planning.
Holidays
Default public holiday regions
In this first section you can set a default public holiday region for your whole company. So this selected region will be also used for newly created user accounts. Just simply select your country and the region in the dropdown.
Create individual public holiday regions per user
If you have employees who work from other countries or regions, then you have the possibility to create individual public holiday regions for them.
You can simply customize the region in the user management. Go to the Team Board and click on the specific user. Switch to the editing mask and in the section personal information you can select via the dropdown the country and the region this specific user is located.
Update public holidays
You can update public holidays at any time. If you do an update, the following public holiday region will be applied to all unmodified user accounts. Users that already have a custom public holiday region will not be changed.
Preview public holidays
If you are interested in the public holidays of a specific country and region, you can preview them. No worries, those public holiday regions can be previewed without modifying existing users or settings.
