Time Tracking in CoffeeCup

Time tracking is an important function of CoffeeCup. Here you will get to know the time tracking via the shortcut.

Updated over 2 months ago

You can use the shortcut in the browser client to start or stop a time entry, regardless of which CoffeeCup interface you are on. In addition to the time tracking via the "Shortcut", there are three other options available to you.

Note: If you don't want to track via Shortcut, you can also deactivate this quick access for time entries in the profile settings by activating the checkbox.

Types of time tracking:

Create time entries via shortcut

Click on "+" in the bottom right corner. This way you can create a new time entry via the shortcut.

Note: The "+" remains unchanged on the entire CoffeeCup interface. So you can start or stop a new time entry at any time.

You will see a new time entry, which you can fill with the project, the task, the reference and a comment. Then click on "Save" or hold the ALT/option-Key to save and start the entry.

โ€‹Note: As admin and PM, the billing details and the duration to be billed are still available to you for a time entry.

Manage time entries

Pause time entry

Click on the pie chart in the bottom right corner to pause your running time rag. To make it run again you have to click on the pie chart again.

Edit or delete time entry

Click on the current time entry in the action bar to open it. Now you can either edit or delete it.

If you want to edit other time entries of yours, go to the "Worktime Tracking" via the menu bar. Here you can make changes by clicking on the desired time entry.

Note: If projects are archived for which time entries have been created or individual time entries are marked as accounted, these cannot be edited. For this, the admin or PM of the projects must remove the marking for the accounting of the worktimes and the archiving of the projects.
