Time Tracking in Browser Client - Weekly View

Time tracking is an important feature of CoffeeCup. Here you will get to know the time tracking via the week view.

Updated over 2 months ago

Time tracking fills some areas of CoffeeCup. You yourself can track and manage your time. In addition to the time tracking via the "week view", there are three other options available to you.

Types of time tracking:

Create time entries

Select "worktime" in the menu bar, this will take you to your time tracking.

The current weekly overview of your worktime is displayed. The weekly overview shows which tasks or projects you are working on in the current week. In addition, you can see holidays and absences such as vacations, Home Office and sick days in the weekly overview.

You have two options to create time entries here. Either you hover over the desired day on which you want to create a time entry or add new time entries and breaks using the "+" button in the right corner of the meta bar.

Note: You can only add breaks if the admin has approved them for you. Otherwise you only create time entries.

A new time entry will open. Specify here which project and task you are working on. Use the comment field for a more detailed description. That way you and others will know what you were working on afterwards.

Note: In time tracking, the billing details are still available to you as an admin and project manager.

Worktimes weekly view - functions

Metabar

Note: As Admin and PM you can switch between the weekly views of the individual employees via the metabar. In the PM role, however, you only see time entries for projects for which you have been assigned the PM role.

Via the metabar you can adjust the period with one click.

Via the context menu you can, among other things, display weekends and create colors for projects and tasks.

Edit and delete time entries

If you want to edit or delete a time entry, click on the entry you want to change, now you can change or delete all the contents of your time entry.

Note: If projects are archived for which time entries have been created or individual time entries are marked as accounted, the time entries cannot be edited. For this purpose, the admin or PM of the projects must remove the marking for the accounting of worktimes and the archiving of the projects.
