Analyze Customer Data

CoffeeCup allows you to analyze your customers. Here's how to do it.

Updated over a week ago

With customer analytics, you can analyze your customers in relation to your projects, tasks, and employees. This is especially helpful if a customer has multiple projects.

To analyze your customers, navigate to the Project Board and simply click on the specific customer.

Note: The "Admin" and "PM" user roles have visibility and access to the Project Board in CoffeeCup.

The customer overview is divided into these three areas:

  • KPIs related to all projects

  • Periodic and cumulative development

  • Allocation of Projects, Tasks and People

KPIs related to all projects

The top line displays a summary of all important KPIs, such as billable hours in percent, profitability of all projects, remaining budget, and invoiced amount.

Periodic and cumulative development

You can view the effort, costs, surplus or deficit, and total profit in percent for the customer either in the periodic view in the form of a bar chart, or in the cumulative view in the form of a line chart. Hovering over the charts shows you the amount of money or time per month. You can always choose the period you want to see, for example, since the start of the project or for a specific year.

Allocation of Projects, Tasks and People

You can switch between the views for Projects, Tasks and People at any time.

In the project view, the customer's projects are listed with their duration, amount in money and time, and the percentage of the project for the customer. The context menu allows you to edit, analyze, archive, invoice the project, display the associated time entries, or do the planning.

The task view shows you the task, the total working time for it, the amount in money and time, and the percentage of the task for the customer. You can edit a task via the context menu or display the time entries of the task.

In the employee view, you can see the work duration, the effort in money and hours, and the percentage of work of your employees for this customer. Via the context menu of an employee, you can edit, analyze, or display their time entries, or go directly to the team planning.

Context menu

In the context menu, you can duplicate, archive, or delete the customer, and view time entries for this customer in the Worktime Analytics by clicking on "Show Time Entries".

Next to the context menu, there are two buttons that allow you to switch between the "Analytics" and "Editing" view of the customer.
