Manage references
Create reference
Navigate to the Project-Board and create a new project or open an already existing project. To add references for this project, switch to the editing mask and click on "Add Reference" in the section "Autolink patterns".
Copy the URL from your Jira workspace and paste it into the "Reference URL" field. Everything that contains the e.g. coffeecupapp subdomain will basically be referenced to this project.
To limit the references, click on "Specific Project" and enter a Project Prefix, e.g. CC. Only the tickets with the prefix "CC" will be referenced.
Attention!
Enable the automatic collection of references to automatically create references from your visited urls and connect them to related CoffeeCup projects. Other users can then use those tracking references without having to visit the url themselves.
Click on the "Add Reference" button and the Jira reference will be visible in the panel.
Tracking references
Anyone from the team can enter time on the corresponding ticket without visiting the Jira page. Just choose the correct ticket reference from the dropdown in the time entry mask.
Analyze references
Navigate to "Worktime" in the menu bar and then click on the submenu "Analytics". You will get an overview of all time entries with the references (e.g. Jira tickets).
Note: Every user role of CoffeeCup has access to the "Worktime Analytics", but there are restrictions depending on the role.
Beside seeing the cost and time spent on epics, stories, improvements or bugs, but you can export the performance records for your clients including the references.
Delete references
Click on the connected Jira workspace.
To remove a reference simply click on the garbage-can.
Info:
There is an automated process that removes accidentally created duplicated references each night. However, it only removes references that are unused. So, if you unassign the time entry from the duplicate reference and assign it to the other one, it’ll get cleaned up overnight.
